The first laptop with a chip is the Vivobook S 15

The Asus Vivobook S 15 with Snapdragon X Elite or 10-core X Plus: Status and Predictions for Next-Generation Vivobooks

Asus gears its Vivobooks toward digital artists, graphic designers, and other visual creatives as a budget-friendly alternative to its ProArt series. Some of the Vivobook Pros have integrated graphics, but the majority of them don’t. We don’t know the true performance of the Snapdragon X Series until laptops ship. The company could be hedging its bets on the new chip starting with the Vivobook.

The new Vivobook S 15 will have the same OLED display as the previous Intel generation (15.6-inch, 16:9, 2880 x 1620, 120Hz refresh rate, and 600 nits peak HDR brightness), but this specific version will have a thinner chassis and display bezels. The S 15 is configurable with either a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite or 10-core X Plus processor, although the Elite chip will be the base version — the one with a slower integrated GPU and no dual core boost.

Both S 15 configurations have a variety of ports, including a mic combo jack, an audio/mic combo jack, and a microSD card reader. There is also a device for wi-fi 7, as well as a device for phone and phone accessories.

The Asus Vivobook S 15 with a Snapdragon X Elite is available to preorder from select retailers right now but won’t ship until June 18th. The cheapest version of the device will only be available from the club store, while the more expensive model will be available from multiple retailers. There is no word on what the price of the X Plus model will be.

Microsoft Surface Event: Ai Windows Biggest Announcements (https://www.theverge.com/article/0606091811)

There were a lot of exciting news to come out of Microsoft’s special event that was just finished. Along with updates to its Surface lineup, Microsoft made some major announcements related to AI and a new era of PCs in partnership with Lenovo, Asus, Dell, and others.

One of the major AI features available within Copilot Plus PCs is Recall. The new tool will run on your device, and will log everything that happens on your computer, allowing you to search for and retrieve what you’ve interacted with. That makes it possible for you to see a conversation you had in apps and even a specific PowerPoint slide.

Microsoft is bringing Copilot to more areas of Windows 11. The AI assistant will be able to provide suggestions within the Settings menu, edit files within File Explorer, or write responses to notifications you receive.

Microsoft’s new Surface Pro — sans model number — swaps out the last-gen’s Intel Core Ultra processor for Snapdragon X Elite and Plus chips from Qualcomm. It’s up to 90 percent faster than the previous Surface Pro, and it comes with the option for an OLED display panel for the first time.

The Surface Pro is available in four colors: blue, beige, black, and Platinum. It’s compatible with a new Surface Pro Flex Keyboard that works when attached or detached from the device.
